WISPIRG: Small business owners being crushed by rising health care costs

Small business owners in Wisconsin are being crushed by rising health care costs.  That's according to a new report released by the Wisconsin Public Interest Research Group.

The report points out that small business owners need health care reform in order to afford and provide health coverage for employees.

One local business owner says if she ran her business the way health insurers run their businesses, she would lose all her customers.   Health care advocates say she's not alone.  Shannon Nelson of WISPIRG says, "If we point out, kind of the ridiculous parallels, it really sends a strong message that the insurance industry needs reform."

Health care advocates and small business owners are hoping Congress considers the report when drafting a final version of health care reform.
