Gov. Jim Doyle has a proposal to create regional transportation authorities (RTAs), which would help provide stable funding for transit and empower communities across the state to expand local transportation options.  His proposal could bring exciting new transportation projects in cities across the state one step closer to reality. But we'll need to show strong public support to make sure it passes in the Legislature.
